2017 General Election – Candidate Questionnaire: A Voter Resource

As an aid for voters, Interfaith Works developed a questionnaire for candidates for contested City Council and Port of Olympia seats appearing on the November 7, 2017 local General Election ballot. The questions reflect issues of interest to our membership.

Here are responses to the questionnaire from candidates running in the contested races for Council seats in Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater and for the Port Commissioners for Districts 2 and 3.

Please note that we sent the questionnaire to the two candidates for Lacey City Council, Position 6,  Robert Motzer and  Michael R. Steadman. These candidates chose not to respond, so there is no document for that seat.
