Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration
Each November, Interfaith Works hosts a community Thanksgiving gathering that celebrates the strength and joy that our cultural and faith diversity bring to our community. Thank you to the First United Methodist Church of Olympia for hosting a great event in 2018!
Here are some photographs from the celebration:
We had a wonderful afternoon of sharing and friendship around the theme of Shoulder to Shoulder in Gratitude and Hope
Interfaith readings by faith and community leaders featuring words of gratitude.
Solo vocal and choral music including the Olympia Peace Choir. A community tradition!
After the hour-long event, we join together for informal fellowship and refreshments.
Thanks to The First United Methodist Church for hosting the event!

In 2016 our annual Thanksgiving celebration, with a theme of “Songs of Gratitude” was on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Abbey Church at St. Martin’s University – with music by the Olympia Peace Choir, the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation Choir, and the St. Martin’s University Student Choir.
Representatives from many different faiths shared stories, music, and readings from their cultural traditions.
This diverse program allowed us to learn and experience something new and wonderful about our neighbors of other faiths.
A free-will offering was accepted to benefit the programs of Interfaith Works.
