Interfaith Works Urges Your Support for the Home Fund

The homeless and housing insecure populations of Olympia often face overlapping layers of hardship. Lack of stable housing has been related to an increase in substance abuse, aggravation of mental health issues, criminal victimization, and an inability to maintain familial and community connections. Many faith traditions and people of conscience have acknowledged the importance of compassion for the most downtrodden among us. For this reason, the board of Interfaith Works proclaims that everyone should have access to safe and secure housing, and strongly urges the passing of the Home Fund. Revenue from this fund will go to housing Olympia’s most vulnerable populations, thus relieving pressure on emergency services, while providing security and dignity for those most in need.
